Capsules will not pack: 1.0.4 vs 1.0.5 fixes
Distinguish the power/material pause fix from the 1.0.5 large-base packing fix and world capsule limit.
The fixes have different scopes: 1.0.4 addressed machines pausing despite power and materials; 1.0.5 reports restoring Q, Auto-Packer and machine packing in large bases with many capsules on belts. Record your version and conditions before treating either statement as your diagnosis.
Two versions, two packing cases
The 1.0.4 fix concerns machines reporting the capsule-packing error and pausing even when power and materials are available. A similar message alone does not establish that this is your cause.
The later 1.0.5 fix covers Q packing, Auto-Packer and machine packing in large bases with many capsules on belts. The later fix is why this guide does not claim 1.0.4 resolved every packing failure. Neither fix has been reproduced or tested by us.
Ground capsules and the world limit
The 1.0.5 notes remove the former 10,000 ground-capsule limit and announce up to 90,000 capsules per world. The latter is a world total, not a per-player or per-catcher allowance.
A stated cap is not a promise that every machine will pack successfully below it. No measured throughput or frame-rate improvement is supplied by this guide.
If packing still fails on your installed version
- Record the installed version and exact error wording.
- Note which machine is affected and whether power and materials appear available. Describe what you can observe rather than assuming the underlying cause.
- Write down whether this is solo play, hosting or a guest session, and the action immediately before the pause.
- Note whether it happens every time or intermittently and whether other crew members see the same symptom.
These details help distinguish a recurring version-specific defect from a different setup problem. Include whether Q, Auto-Packer or a particular machine is affected and whether the base has many capsules on belts. Matching versions or updating is not a guaranteed fix.
Keep a report small and safe
Use the developer’s current support direction in the official Steam community. If you choose to attach a screenshot there, crop account names and unrelated desktop content first. This site does not accept reports or uploads.
No save deletion, manual restoration or game-data replacement is required by this guide. Preserve original files; do not turn an unexplained machine error into an unverified recovery experiment.
