JOONAS in 1.0.5: catcher groups & incomplete sectors

Understand 100 m catcher groups, the strict over-80% rule and separate 99.9% and 0% completion fixes.

Direct answer

For 1.0.5, the developer says JOONAS selects the emptiest catcher in the nearest catcher group. Catchers within 100 m of one another are grouped; delivery moves to the next group only when every catcher in the current group is over 80% full.

1.0.4 history: cleaning and delivery

The 1.0.4 notes introduced capsule delivery from JOONAS’s current position without returning to a dock, followed by continuing to the next sector. That release described the destination as the nearest catcher; the 1.0.5 grouping rule below is the newer documented routing behavior.

The 1.0.4 statement that JOONAS cleans without a nearby player, routes around buildings and skips unreachable hexes remains historical context. It also described a full-bin red flash and information panel. No hands-on distance or navigation test is claimed.

1.0.5: which catcher receives a capsule?

Within the nearest catcher group, delivery chooses the emptiest catcher. The developer describes catchers within 100 m of one another as grouped. Only when every catcher in that group is over 80% full does delivery advance to the next group.

The words every and over matter: this is not “one catcher reaches 80%.” The announcement does not specify a graph-clustering algorithm, ties between catchers or selection between equally distant groups. This guide does not invent those rules.

Completion symptoms are separate cases

For 1.0.5, the developer reports a fix for distant hexes left at 99.9%, without completion or payment, after cleaning while players were elsewhere. A separate JOONAS fix concerns a persistent ground patch where building was impossible.

Another 1.0.5 fix covers clean sectors incorrectly displaying 0%: they are checked when the world loads and should then complete and pay. The map also stops showing 0% where progress has not yet been measured. This 0% case is distinct from the JOONAS 99.9% case.

These statements do not establish that every 99%, 98.9% or other incomplete sector shares the same cause. Record the exact displayed percentage, installed version and whether cleaning or payment is missing. Do not delete or replace a save to follow an invented workaround.

If JOONAS still appears idle

Checks stay in this page’s memory. Nothing is sent or saved.

Use those observations in a focused developer report. They are diagnostic context, not a verified reset procedure. This guide does not promise that a patch, placement change or restart will resolve the symptom.
